MAJOR GM/CHEVY VEHICLE RECALL.... 2013-2014 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban; Cadillac CTS; GMC Yukon, Yukon XL; Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV; 2014 Chevrolet Traverse; GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD The Problem : Small metallic slivers may be present in the chassis control module, possibly causing the module to experience an electrical short. This could cause the vehicle to either not start or to stall, and for the check engine light and service trailer brake warnings to illuminate. The Fix : Dealers will replace the entire chassis control module free of charge. Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected : 117,651 of the models listed above, 97,540 of which are in the U.S. and 4500 of which are still unsold at dealers. These unsold cars will be held until repairs are made. 2013-2015 Chevrolet Spark - The Problem : Due to the possibility of premature corrosion at the hood latch pivot, the striker may not properly engage the secondary hood latch. This could cause the hood to unexpectedly open while the car is moving which increases the risk of a crash. The Fix : Dealers will replace the striker and hood latch with new, anti-corrosive parts free of charge. Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected : 89,294 2013-2015 Chevrolet Spark hatchbacks. 2013-2014 SRT Viper - The Problem : A malfunction with the seat-position sensor may cause the airbags to deploy less vigorously than they should if the sensor determines that the seat is positioned closer to the airbag than it actually is. The Fix : Dealers will install a small wedge to ensure that the sensor provides an accurate reading. Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected : 1912 2013-2014 SRT Viper models, 1624 of which are in the U.S.
