MAKE GOD YOUR SOURCE Job 1:21 – “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.” For you to grow in your relationship with God, what matters most is not the blessing you have but the source of the blessing. If you cannot relate with the Source, it is an opportunity for satan to connect himself to you. If your wealth does not allow you to relate with Jesus, how are you sure it came from Him? That only goes to God that comes from Him. When the devil knows God’s blessings are coming to a believer, he quickly offers his own blessings to destroy the blessings of God. The devil’s sacrifice is that when he offers you something that seems to give apparent peace with the right hand, he takes from you with the left hand something your life depends on. If you are anxious and in need of blessing, you will not be able to differentiate between God’s supply and satan’s bait. You would not care about the source of your blessing whether God or satan; you would just take it. Christians care about the source of their blessings. There is no one that is neutral. It is either you are positive or negative. There is no neutral kingdom, force or source. We should not allow desperation to mislead us. Job knew the source of his blessings and made room in his heart to bless the Provider in both good and hard times alike. To Job, God was his only choice, only reason and only interest; whether He healed him or not, Jesus was his Healer. He had no alternative. In his trials, Job was able to draw from God’s resources everything he would need to face any challenge he would face in the future. Opposition and trials can be our best friends because they allow the opportunity to draw from God’s resources and strength and attract God’s attention and commitment. Resolve to make God your source and you will see that He is all sufficient and your happiness remains permanent.
