MALAGA GROUP WEATHER UPDATE Friday 10th October 2014: Good morning Malaga......and those frontiersmen/women up in the Seville Borderlands, Malagas Northern Territories, its Middle and FarEast (The Orient - Velez, Nerja etc.), over in the west and those United States (Manilva & Casares) and those of you on the other side of the world that is wet Huelva!!!.....So today its going to be wet and miserable for us poor soles in Malaga Province......well according to AEMET its going to be!!!.....We are certainly likely to be seeing cloud but the frontal system that I have spoke of a couple of forecast previously has done exactly what I said it would do and will already be pushing back north and west as of this morning.......If you are a member of this group in Huelva, and we do have them, then you and the rest of the Costa de la Luz have warnings issued today for rain including an ORANGE ALERT (see main Graphic!!!).......Here in Malaga It could be that if we start cloudy on the coast that cloud pushes back inland revealing sunshine as it goes except in the wild west!!!.....Any risk of rain appears to be up in Ronda and the West of the province but even that sun could poke through as well as the retreating front weakens!!!......The bottom line today is to watch for that cloud thickening and if it does a shower is possible later in the day!!!.......It could get draughty today in places and daytime temperatures up in those mountains and inland areas are going to feel cooler!!!.....Tomorrow no rain is expected at all in Malaga on account of the fact that its all gonna fall on Huelva!!!........Here those cloudlets will intermix with sunshine but as the day proceeds those clouds build and as we go into the night and through to Sunday the rains does cometh!!!.....If you havent brought your onesie then come late Sunday they are all likely to be sold out as that teardrop of cold air pushes across the Iberian Peninsular.......and as always Malaga is on the edge....the Leading Edge!!!......Again the coast may just skip the rain but we are certainly looking to see it beyond the first coastal ranges!!!......No warnings to raise at this time on this just yet for Malaga but we remain watchful for changes!!!.....Monday further cloud and rain is currently expected and as we continue into the week it is a general getting better look for us Malagiunos......However, If you are a Huelvarite on its coast and down the rest of the Costa de la Luz and into Gibraltar do watch the weather late Monday and into Tuesday......we could be looking at some serious storm activity in the Bay of Cadiz and the Straights causing some disruption......I am anticipating weather warnings at this time for all the provinces on the Coast of Light and indeed Gibraltar although the Gibraltar weather service does tend to give just actuals and rarely a forecast so if you travel in and out and know peeps that way give them the heads up!!!........again stay tuned for an update as we get closer as this could also just creep into our far west!!!......Now, once we get past this current period there is nothing giving me any concern weather wise for a week or two!!!....Not even anything to give us a shower so we may just pop back into some nice weather and those daytime temperatures may just remain above the norm!!!.....This is the weather we are talking about and tomorrow is another day but we may have something to look forward to so dont let this cloudy and wet stuff over the weekend get ya down!!!.....Jim Fraser for the EiALERT NETWORK
