MALAGA GROUP WEATHER UPDATE Wednesday 8th October 2014: Its yet another great day today on the Costas.....and in the Valleys boyo (thats a bit of Welsh is that boyo bit....and welsh comes from Wales.....Wales being part of the United Kingdom and if you have never been then trust me when I say that the Welsh are getting as fanatical about their language as the French are with all signs and road markings written in both English and Welsh everywhere!!!)......and........its to be a great day in those inland areas as well!!!......Yes, sunshine is the order of the day and remarkably we are still managing to maintain the warm temperatures by the skin of our teeth......You dont have to travel too far north out of Malaga Province to feel a marked difference in the daytime temperatures!!!......What this means is that if we can manage to stay out of the cold air that is today pushing down on the Jet Stream and moving south across the Iberian Peninsular causing weather alerts in the north and east of Spain, then come the weekend we will take a big hit of a temperature drop!!!......We are very much still on track to see that drip of cold air, as I put it (please review yesterdays graphic), crossing us late Saturday and into Sunday/Monday. It therefore follows that we could see significantly colder weather hit on Sunday and at this time that day is looking somewhat bleak with it!!!......But, before we get there we remain sunny today and mainly sunny tomorrow. If you are inland to the north and north west of the province then make the most of the clear sunshine today. It is highly likely that the cloud developing on the leading edge of that cold pressure system pushing across the UK and reaching down to Spain will encroach into the top end of Malaga Province tomorrow. Yes, with it an increase risk of a shower!!!.........Friday still remains under review. The main weather services are saying we have rain on Friday and yes, there is a risk of a frontal system passing our way but to me it is looking weak and although cloud is likely the risk of rain still looks slight so as we get nearer we will know more!!!......However, for Friday prep for rain just in case!!!.......If anything late Saturday we could see the first reasonable rainfall up again in the northern half of the Province and then comes Sunday which is currently the bleak wet day and as we transport ourselves into the future that is next week, Monday should be a clearing up type of day and we cheer up further Tuesday including those temperatures!!!.....However, later next week those temperatures are looking to tumble again as we get our first taste of winter and again we are watching that to get a better timeline on it!!!......So enjoy the sun as its days are getting numbered!!!......Jim Fraser for the EiALERT NETWORK.
