MALAGA WEATHER UPDATE Monday 14th July 2014: Hi everyone and welcome to a new week. We need to start with that LFWW WARNING For HIGH TEMPERATURES today and tomorrow. Our warnings are unofficial but reflect that in places, particularly on the Ronda Plain, the Guadalhorce Valley and Antequira across to Vinuela we are looking to see very hot temperatures develop. The winds will play a big factor in this and if they remain subdued then their cooling effect will really push those temperatures up!!!.....We again are likely to see that sea mist around again in places to start the day and I again expect to see cloud development in the heat of the afternoon today and tomorrow!!!.....Do watch for those local winds being kicked off by the sun warming the sides of those hills and mountains though as that localised wind could get very strong today!!!.......Beyond that we continue with nothing but sun and the odd cloud way into next week and beyond as I write but we remain vigilant for you just in case!!!........With the heat we are expecting do watch yourselves, your guests if you have any, your pets or other livestock and a close eye on the vulnerable that being children and the elderly.........As always though, keep up that great work watching for fires. It never ceases to amaze me how the group really pulls together in times of crisis........and as a reward I keep this short today and give you a close up shot of one of the many aircraft waiting to assist in times of need......This is T8, one of the heavy lift Helicopters of The Junta de Andalucias INFOCA Brigade, a Russian Ka32 capable of carrying a large underslung bucket for fire fighting. This particular aircraft is operated by INAER under contract!!!........Have a good Monday and hopefully a quiet one here on this group and all the groups in this network.......Jim Fraser for the Local Fire & Weather Watch Network :)
