Immediate Superior: Section Head Immediate Subordinates: Drafters/Designer/Engineer Typical Duties: •Civil/Structural engineering calculations. •Civil/Structural engineering plans, design, layout and detailing. •Civil/Structural project specifications. •Civil/Structural engineering portion of project proposals. •Civil/Structural engineering portion of project cost estimates. Work Activities •Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills and experience for all civil/ structural works included buildings, structures, pipe racks / pipe bridge, pipe supports, pipe sleepers, equipment foundations, road, drainage and sewerage. •Plan and detailing for buildings and structures based from schematic or conceptual layouts. •Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters. Jr. Civil/Structural Engineer Minimum Requirements: Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering with less than 2 years working experience. Immediate Superior: Engineer/Sr.Engineer/Section Head Immediate Subordinates: Designer/Drafter Primary Responsibilities: •Requires basic knowledge in Concrete/Steel Structure/Civil design, engineering techniques and standards in relation to General Industries, Oil and Gas Plants, oil Terminals and Chemical Plants •Assist in prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and standards. •When construction has begun, Civil/Structural Engineer is often involved in follow up with site technical issues, supervising and inspecting the work and advising sub-contractors. •Typical Duties: •Typical duties will include but not be limited to the preparation and/or modification of the following: •Civil/Structural engineering calculations. •Civil/Structural engineering plans, design, layout and detailing. •Civil/Structural project specifications. •Civil/Structural engineering portion of project proposals. •Civil/Structural engineering portion of project cost estimates. Supervises the work of assigned employees and participates in the operation, maintenance Advises subordinates on operational and maintenance problems and solutions to these problems. Maintains or is responsible for ensuring that log books, maintenance records, inspection certificates are maintained for heating equipment. Inspects work performed by outside contractors to ensure acceptability of completed work. Liaises with stores section to ensure availability and delivery of required spare parts, tools, materials and equipment. Participates in official performance evaluation of assigned employees. Ensure observance of safety rules, regulations and practices. Performs related work as required.Secondary Responsibilities Senior Procurement/Subcontracting Engineer Minimum Requirements: Degree in Engineering or related fields with 5 years working experience or Diploma in Engineering or related fields with 7 years working experience. Immediate Superior: Section Head Primary Responsibilities: Ensure all procurement activities are conducted based on established procedures (SOP Compliance). Prepare vendor/subcontractor list for bid packages. Prepare procurement master schedule. Review requisition received from Engineering Dept. Finalise procurement /subcontract contractual terms. Prepare inquiry document and send invitation to bidders Receive, review and analyse vendor’s/ subcontractor’s quote. Prepare clarification to vendor/subcontractor. Prepare commercial bid evaluation and recommendation. Conduct negotiation with vendor/subcontractor. Prepare and review LOA/LOI and PO/Contract. Monitor expediting activities and coordinate Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) before delivery for equipment. Coordinate logistic and transportation for goods. Invoice checking and verification and payment monitoring. Tax exemption works and authority approval including MIDA, Customs, MITI and other agencies as required by project. Vendor/subcontractor evaluation upon project completion. Analysis of price/cost database.
