MALWARE ALERT: Fake news.au emails The ACMA has received numerous reports over the weekend about fake emails from news.au with the subject line “ISIS attacks in Sydney?” These emails encourage people to open a ‘Word’ or ’.rar’ file attached to the email by claiming the attachment includes details of Sydney locations that ISIS plans to attack. These emails are FAKE and contain a malicious attachment that if opened, or clicked on, may download and install malware onto your computer. If you receive an email from news.au with the same or similar title, it should be DELETED IMMEDIATELY. Do not click on any attachment in the email.
