MAN LACKS UNDERSTANDING and insight of spiritual truth and divine things. Man has an earthly, secular and carnal understanding. A MAN MAY BE VERY PROFICIENT IN OTHER BRANCHES OF KNOWLEDGE; in business, politics, psychology, science and culture and so on. Nevertheless, every man born into the world, as the result of sin, does not understand. THE THINGS OF GOD, TO HIM, ARE QUITE IRRELEVANT. With his sophisticated and university learning he dismisses biblical explanations of man, his problems and solutions thereby betraying his complete lack of understanding. HE DESPISES THE BIBLE AS BEING REMOTE FROM LIFE AND FROM LIFE’S PROBLEMS. He lacks understanding about God. God is not in his thoughts therefore he lacks understanding about himself and is content to believe he is an animal. Furthermore, he has no understanding of sin and his own sinful nature. HE TALKS ABOUT THE NOBILITY AND DIGNITY OF HUMAN BEINGS, but that is further evidence he does not understand. He does not seek God. A man that does not seek after God misses God’s plan and purpose for his life thereby proving he does not understand. WHEN GOD MADE MAN HE INTENDED MAN SERVE HIM. God intended man would find his true happiness in doing God’s will and bringing Him glory.
