MANCHESTER/WINSTED/HARTFORD – WILCOX- Olga “Kitty” Yungk Wilcox, 87, of Winsted and formerly of Manchester, wife of the late Gerald R. Wilcox, died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at home with her loving family by her side. Born on November 25, 1926 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Olga (Pasterczyk) Karsky. She retired from the State of Connecticut Health Department Laboratory, Scientific Service Division. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her loving family and friends, and looked forward to weekly visits with her brother and his wife. She shared many happy hours and meals with the Dileo Family, staff and patrons of the Log House Restaurant in New Hartford where she visited twice daily for over 30 years. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her brother, Felix Karsky and his wife, Edith of Wethersfield; her sister-in-law, Kay Karsky of Hartford; her brother-in-law David Wilcox of Richmond, VA; her loving and devoted children; Rory A. Yungk and his wife Carole of Manchester; David F. Yungk and his wife Susan, of Manchester; Robert W. Yungk and his wife Carol, of New Ipswich, NH; Barbara Berntsen and her husband Harold, of Swanzey, NH; James Wilcox and his partner David LaCasse, of Otis MA; John Wilcox and his wife Robin, of Sandisfield, MA; Edward Wilcox and his wife Cathy, of Sandisfield, MA; Richard Wilcox and his wife Hope, of Avon, CT; as well as many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by several brothers and sisters and by her former husband, Robert P. Yungk. Her life will be celebrated September 28, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Barkhamsted Center Church in Pleasant Valley. There will be no calling hours. The burial will be in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to: The Connecticut Humane Society.
