MANGOMA’S POLITICS OF A SHAOLIN SOCCER STYLE This renewal - TopicsExpress

MANGOMA’S POLITICS OF A SHAOLIN SOCCER STYLE This renewal gospel has been preached and continuously preached up to a point that the same people who are preaching this gospel have now lost compass of what they really want to achieve from this idiotic parade of a non-existent crisis in the MDC-T. The Mangomas of this world, the Bitis of this world and the one and only one former organizing Secretary Mudzuri who lost the contest against the youthful Chamisa, have fallen into the ZanuPF trap put by the one and only devilish CIO to split the party of excellence. This CIO thing has turned into a ZanuPF cell yet it is supposed to be a National Institution that must be there to spy for the betterment of the Nation, including spying against ZanuPF yacho since it has turned to be the enemy of the people. I also understand that Gono is part of this dreaded renewal train (not really sure about the source), him having been fed up of the same in his own party. I know Gono is Biti’s new paymaster now and if “he who calls for the piper calls for the tune” is really a fact, then I have no doubt Gono is bankrolling these renegades. We have heard calls for Tsvangirai to step aside but I want to ask those calling for Tsvangirai’s ouster some pertinent questions which I demand their honest answers: Whose mandate are they carrying to ask for Tsvangirai’s ouster? If they form part of the National Council and if they were there at the congress that endorsed Tsvangirai in the first place, why are they now calling for his resignation when they were there when he got the mandate to lead until 2016? Why didn’t they contest it then to say “no, we need leadership renewal and so and so must succeed Tsvangirai”? If they changed their mind (which I agree they are free to do), fine and fair, but do we have to jump around each time any individual “changes his mind” all because we want to be seen as a perfect party that follows its members’ opinions? If the answer to this is no then they must shut up and wait for 2016 to vote and remove Tsvangirai. If yes, then my previous assertions that these people have been bought by ZanuPF’s stolen money to split the MDC-T is true. But I want to advise them that the sooner they form their splinter group the better. We don’t want to keep garbage and renegades who will degenerate into defacto kingmakers in our movement. We don’t run an Institution as big as the MDC-T by individualistic opinions. We run the party by majority vote. We run by consensus not by some individual thinking that Tsvangirai has outlived his stay. Tsvangirai was chosen by the people and can only be removed by the people “AT CONGRESS” not in corridors at Harvest House unless he decides by himself to resign which is not likely at the moment. Harvest House is our Head Office where we house offices of our leaders not a congress where three or four individuals decide the fate of the whole party that has thousands members all with voting rights. We are all stakeholders in MDC-T (as members) and we have a right to choose who should lead us. We have not given Mangoma or Biti, or whoever thinks he has our power, the power of attorney to decide on our behalf. They are leaders yes, but not to decide for us. We want them to come to the congress and put in their names there and see what the majority will say. If the majority says they want Tsvangirai so be it. Even if we are going to be labelled confused or people who want to follow ZanuPF approach of keeping leaders, so be it. We know what we want. We know who our leader is and where we want to go and when we want to remove him….and this can only be after ZANU is gone!!! It is with great concern that I write this article since I have witnessed how money can be used to buy people and to halt the people’s project. When the MDC was formed in 1999, we did set our objectives as a movement and paramount among the objectives was to remove ZanuPF and Mugabe from power. That objective was not achieved, not because we failed but because ZanuPF stole from us and refused to relinquish power and we opted for peace not war. In the face of this fact we decided collectively (Biti, Mudzuri Bennett and Mangoma included) that we will retain our leadership until the objectives we set for ourselves (one of which is to remove Zanu) are achieved. Some individuals among us thought as individuals not as the party to call for renewal which was never discussed at any congress since 1999. The President has made it clear (and we support him) that leadership renewal must be discussed within the parameters of our Constitution not this Media frenzy that our now renegade comrades have decided to embark on. The President called for an early congress where he indicated his intention to throw in the towel but no contenders came forth, instead they go to the Media and preach for the renewal which they failed to table in our meetings. Now following the recent rumour (in fact we have proof of it) that these renegades (now being called the renewal team) have decided to be formed into a party, possibly to be called Progressive Democratic Movement in Zimbabwe, I would want to advise them to do it faster and now rather than later. Since when have we been swimming with crocodiles? Let them GO and now!!!! We are tired of their selfish renewal gospel. But they have what we call reality awaiting them in that wilderness. I thought they were going to ask for advice from Welshman Ncube about the possibility of mounting a challenge against Tsvangirai. They are busy fighting Tsvangirai and the MDC-T and have forgotten that the real enemy is Zanu and we wait and see how they are going to table their agenda in the public domain. The double-edged sword brand of the Movement for Democratic Change (Tsvangirai) that has cut through Zanu PF’s resistance through the years until it was lodged on a Nikuv dummy in the last election, will one day brandish against these few anarchists and amateur Machiavellian politicians who have chosen the end to justify the means and a word for them as advise will make their day, “MDC-T will feast on you guys”. Chief among these little politicians is with no doubt one, Elton Mangoma, who has chosen to go against the overwhelming membership of the partys faithfuls through his budding letter writing career, and who has unwarrantedly besmirched MDC-T`s endeared leader and brand, Morgan Tsvangirai. I suggest they join Zanu than this their misguided plan that will only lead them to a dustbin of politics. The popularity of Dr Morgan Richard Tsvangirai and that of the MDC-T which has never been in doubt since the formation of the party, will once again clear a huddle that has all the makings of a Zanu PF backed attempt at perpetuating a breakaway of some misguided leadership in our midst who think politics is a “boardroom plan” of events that will attract massive votes at national level. These people, led in the open by Elton Mangoma (Biti and Bennett cunningly behind), will surely fall more harder than they come. They will discover that grassroots support does not come in writing endless letters to the media (as for Mangoma), and in defending Zanu PF criminals at law (as for Biti in the Gono case) but that it is in the character of the individual. If it was Nelson Chamisa we would be talking of something because no doubt Chamisa is appealing to the masses as much as the President. They will discover that Morgan Tsvangirai is not a lone ranger dreamer but a political guerrilla and tsunami whose political warfare is fiercely inseparable from the people. And they will indeed discover that their Machiavellian prescription of getting into power through manipulative, exploitative, unconstitutional and deceitful behaviour will not get them the political expediency through which they are angling for personal gains. The message they will get will be as clear as the messengers, that no one in the MDC-T plays the game of politics the Shaolin soccer way. We have standard rules and regular political players in the MDC-T. We have our constitution that we follow. We don’t behave like ZanuPF who just disregard the constitution with impunity. No astronomical somersaulting is allowed in attempting to score political goals as any such attempts will lend who ever the unfortunate dare-devil is playing to the Zanu PF gallery on their back. Leadership renewal will start from the bottom up, and not democratically unnatural as the Mangoma drums wish to dictate us in their discarded tempo. Dr Morgan Richard Tsvangirai UNTIL ZANU IS OUT!!!
