MANHATTAN CENTER NYC *** CAN BE RESERVED ONLINE *** A volunteer writes: Rocky is a wisp of a dog, quiet and unsure of the new smells and sounds of the Care Center. But once outside, he slowly morphs into a playful and charming youngster, dancing among several tennis balls and trotting happily around the playpen. At the park, he proves to be a wonderful and respectful companion who walks well on leash, perking up a bit when a group of teenagers ambles by us during his photo shoot. Rockys past is a mystery, but he seems to have been a family member until recently; he goes immediately once outside and sniffs politely at a yummy treat offered to him. Though our time together was brief, he seemed very grateful for the companionship, his soft eyes shimmering with hope. For now, Rocky is in need of a caring and loving home where he can rebuild his confidence and be the happy youngster he appears to be. Be the one that gives him a new leash on life!!!
