“MANI” 4 NAPSS PRESIDENT U.J CHAPTER After our STAKEHOLDERs MEETING To elaborate more on my earlier post about the resumption and the commencing of registration of new students, dated 24th march, 2014. this is the information for now, if theres any change, we will inform the house. For returning students especially the issue of school fees ,after due consultation with various stakeholders in the school ; Principal Officers of SUG house of parliament,SUG members of house of parliament,Departmental,Faculty and Tribal Presidents . We unanimously agreed to total removal of development levy we are paying following the intervention by Federal government after the long strike action embarked upon by ASUU. When we try to meet some prominent individuals within the university in order to achieve this move, our attention was called upon to the fact that the federal government is yet to make commitments to the funds they agreed to be given to federal universities. We finally concluded that as you gain admission into the institution, you pay the development levy as part of your support towards the development of the university but the returning students be relieved from paying the development levy owing to what our students faced during the just concluded session where some of our students were unable to pay and had to differ their admission. its on this view that we are working hard using the relevant authorities to see to the actualization of this dream, be informed, dont rush this time around. Lets inform returning students not be in a rush of paying until they hear from us. DIS IS TO ALL U.J STUDENTs IN DIS FORUM PLZ
