MANILA, Philippines - Megastar Sharon Cuneta took to Twitter to express her displeasure, after her husband, former senator Francis Kiko Pangilinan, was dragged into the still-raging pork-barrel scandal, as taken up at the Senate on September 25. Sen. Jinggoy Estradas privilege speech mentioned Pangilinan as among the senators who violated the procurement law in their transactions with the local governments. Cuneta responded with a series of tweets expressing her disbelief and challenged anyone with proof to come forward. The actress-singer even went as far as saying she was willing to leave her husband and give P10 million to anyone who can prove her husbands culpability in this controversy. If anyone reading this can prove to me that my husband has stolen any amount from his PDAF [Priority Development Assistance Fund] in his 12 years as senator, I will give you P10 million in cash and I will leave my husband. That is how confident I am. It is not as hard as people may think. Kung nakukulangan sila sa ilang papeles o anuman - isa-isahin niyo ang pinagbigyan ni Kiko ng PDAF niya, she wrote. (If their documents or anything are missing, take a close look at each of Kikos allotments from the PDAF.) Ask the Baranggay Captains (puwera ako kahit na ako si [except for myself, even if im] Madam Chairman! Hahaha) and kung sino-sino pa ang nabigyan [and whoever else had benefited from the fund]. At nang makita ng lahat na walang BOGUS na organisasyon o foundation o sinuman, anuman na napuntahan ang pera kundi mga tunay na govt organizations, legitimate organizations. Ganon lang naman yon. (So that everyone will see that no bogus organization or foundation or anything else benefited from the fund, except for genuine government organizations, legitimate organizations. Thats all there is to it.) Cuneta emphasized in her posts that she and the retired senator have long been working for what they own now. Sorry, HINDI KAMI MAGNANAKAW.
