MAPOLY FRESHERS WELCOME DEAR FRESH STUDENTS, Firstly, on behalf of the Students Council and the school management,I extend you a hearty welcome to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic.I must also congratulate you for the excellent choice that you have made; you are now a part of an institution that strives for excellence in all areas of research,teaching and technology;an institution that has been at the forefront of research and technological activity of our nation since its establishment. You have now become a part of us. Our institute maintains a climate where every student is encouraged to reach his or her full potential. As Oscar Wilde said, Success is a science. If you have the conditions you get the result. Moshood Abiola polytechnic has created the conditions and it is our job to do the rest. It is for the latter that the Students Council exists. Student Council is an elected body of students to facilitate communication between the students and Administration of the institute, working together with administration to solve the problems related to the students for a better campus life. Life at moshood Abiola polytechnic is much more than the regular academic activities, and those of Students Council.There is a whole city waiting outside to be explored too! Abeokuta is truly a City of Discovery - a vibrant city in a stunning location with a great deal to offer. This city boasts of at least one location with activities that match the interest of every one of us. A word of caution though, it is left to us as to how we organize our time here, by maintaining the right balance between academic and your social life. I request everyone here to please keep that in mind. In this journey you need victuals to help you accomplish your purpose academically The journey of making a Destinction or upper credit begins now and you need victuals for that, my prayer is that you will be among the above grades while leaving this school. All the same I must tell you that some that have entered like you may leave with lower credit and even some with a pass grade. All will depend on the instrument and nourishment you have carried for the journey. Similarly some may be told by the school authority to Withdraw for Academic Failure (WAF). This will also depend on the victuals they carried for their journey. May this never be your portion in Jesus name. I conclude my address with a wish that all of us will succeed in making the best of our stay at moshood Abiola polytechnic, pls avoid bad friend and dont keep friends becos your best friend is your BOOK,I am looking forward to seeing you all in other Freshers Welcome programs and during my tour to all department.All the best!
