MARCH LONG RANGE MATCH OVERVIEW: It was a bit blustery on the range this weekend, but was fairly warm and we avoided the rain that passed through late last week, so all in all it was pretty typical Spring weather here at Rattlesnake. NOAA predicted the weather accurately, and even with the advance warning we still got a good turnout of shooters. More than half the competitors traveled in from outside the area, and we really appreciate the expense and time they put in to come shoot. The F-Class turnout was phenomenal, far more than what weve had previously for a non-championship match. We lured in a couple of new BPTR competitors, and had some old friends return from last season. We missed our regular crew of sling shooters, as most of them are in Sacramento at the big Can/Am & Scotland matches; best of luck to them, and we wish them safe travels. Even with the breeze some good scores were shot this weekend, and the experience will be a confidence builder as we move into the May & June Championships. A big hand goes out to George Crawford for keeping the stats, and High Power RSO Tom Fillmore for running the pits all weekend. Thanks again for joining us, and remember that our schedule & match programs can all be found at tcsa.info/disciplines/highpower. Take care, and well see you on the range next month!
