MARK MESSAM BIOGRAPHY Vocalist/Song Writer Born St. Elizabeth, Jamaica: Immersed in reggae music since his youth, Mark set out to fulfill his mission working with Jamaican-based sound system King Lion in 1983. Upon relocation to the U.S., Mark linked with Producer Doctor X to release his freshman LP, Higher and Higher. Mark has shared the stage with Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Lady Saw, Tonto Metro & Devante, King Yellow Man among others. Mark’s international credits include the Cape Verde Islands (1999), a Jamaican tour with Terry Lennin (2003) and (2006) Portland Curry Fest. Domestically, he has blessed major reggae music festivals in New York, New England and the DC metro area. Most recently, Mark traveled to Anchor Recording Studio (Fatta Marshal) and Groove Box Entertainment (Roan Dwyer) in Kingston, Jamaica to mix his most recent album, One Man. The album was produced by Djim Job and co-produced by Mark Messam & Ephraim Edwards, released on the Stereophonic Productions label in 2007. Mark is now working on his new 2009 project with Riddim Track from Fire House Crew( Danny Bassie).
