MARK YOUR CALENDAR....The Perry Area Historical Society will be hosting GREG STARNES, a professional storyteller, author, Civil War historian, and award-winning preservationist from Fort Payne, Alabama, in an event at Springhill School on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 7pm. He will be telling stories about an entire family captured and imprisoned in Georgia in 1864 and other interesting Civil War stories of little-known people, places, and events that played major roles in the Confederate War effort. Free to the public however there is limited seating and Reservations are required and can be made through Perry History museum or call 224-4442.
