MARSISM_August_22_2014>>> Inside the formal organization, the magnitude of a worker’s inputs – the intensity and passion that is poured in; the brilliance that underscores each task; the ability to deliver, to prove one’s worth but not necessarily competing with colleagues – the totality of these attributes that took shape along with time, should not be reduced to a fraction of one’s real value, on the grounds of one isolated occurrence whose story has not even been reviewed. When a fellow worker purposefully blinds HERSELF on the strength of personal insecurities, or out of this self-conceived thoughts on superiority – to the detriment of another worker, then there is danger ahead, for this is not at all healthy for the organization. There is a big difference between excellence and mediocrity, but when even that distinction is blurred in her eyes already, then some action must be taken too. Small as we are, we can also launch an assault from corners you cannot see. No one should cloak this idea of being untouchable, of being PERFECT – and look down on other workers as if YOU ARE GOD. -MARCIANO A. PAROY JR. (August 22, 2014)
