MASSACHUSETTS GAMING: LETS CUT OUT THE MIDDLE MAN > Through quasi-public corporations for each location, the people of Massachusetts should build their own casino gaming facilities, replacing the outside investors. We have plenty of finance, design, construction and management talent within our borders to construct world class facilities. There are plenty of global examples to emulate. For example, lets say a Springfield facility is estimated to cost $800,000,000. As one of the 4.5 million taxpayers, I would like to buy one $177 share in a Mass public offering thru my income tax. I expect dividends on my equity investment, if earned. If I dont want to buy the stock, it goes back in the pool for a Mass resident or Mass business to purchase. This way, win or lose, we get to keep ALL the cash flow. And, if Springfield goes bust, I lose $177, but all the earlier profits did not go to an outside company before they close down and skip town. With super transparency and private Mass auditors combing the deals from day one, we can keep the blue collar to brahmin Mass wise guy action to a minimum. Wise up, Massachusetts, lets change the Gaming Commission and do the deals ourselves.
