MATCHROOM ANNOUNCE OCTOBER 11th SHOW: JOSHUA GOES FOR FIRST TITLE, SELBY FACES BRUNKER IN WORLD TITLE FINAL ELIMINATOR, RYDER TAKES ON KHOMITSKY FOR WBA BELT Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing has announced a big card to take place at the O2 Arena in London, England on October 11th, live on Sky Sports in the UK. On the top of the bill, former British/Commonwealth/European/WBC International featherweight champion Lee Selby (19-1, 7KOs) takes on Joel Brunker (27-0, 15KOs) in an IBF World title final eliminator. The winner will become the mandatory challenger to IBF featherweight World champion Evgeny Gradovich (19-0, 9KOs). 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist Anthony Joshua (7-0, 7KOs) will seek to win his first professional title, when he faces Denis Bakhtov (38-9, 25KOs) for the WBC International heavyweight title. Joshua will take on Bakhtov for the WBC International title in October, as long as the Olympic champion defeats Konstantin Airich (21-9, 17KOs) on September 13th in Manchester, England. John Ryder (18-1, 10KOs) - who dropped a razor thin decision to British/Commonwealth/European middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (20-0, 11KOs) in an excellent fight - will take on Sergey Khomitsky (29-11-2, 12KOs) for the WBA Intercontinental middleweight title. Khomitsky is very well known to British fans, having stopped Jamie Moore in 2010, dropped two very close decisions to Martin Murray, and on his most recent visit to the UK in April, Khomitsky knocked out Frank Buglioni in the 6th round.
