MATRON ELIMINATIONS AT DOVER DOWNS TONIGHT! SEE YOU THERE! POST TIME 5:30 PM! Many of the top horsemen and stables make a two-week stop at the Delaware Capitol City raceway with all eight Matron freshman and sophomore colt and filly pacing and trotting division will be featured on the same program both Sundays. Two of the Matron divisions are split into elims. The first eight in each elimination divisions return for lucrative finals next Sunday, Nov. 17. The headline events of the eight sections is the $53,462 Three-Year-Old Colt & Gelding elim. A talented wide-open field of 11 go to post featuring Dedi’s Dragon, who upset the highly touted Captaintreacherous at Hoosier Park. The other rivals include Ronny Bugatti, winner of the recent Triple Crown $450,000 Messenger Stake, the fast-finishing Vegas Vacation, a nine-time winner of $887,162 this season and Sunshine Beach fresh from a second-place finish in the recent Breeders Crown.
