MATTERS ARISING: DOES AGE ONLY AFFECT THE EFFICIENCIES OF THE ASSISTANT GENERAL-OVERSEERS IN OUR CHURCHES AND NOT THOSE OF THE GENERAL-OVERSEERS THEMSELVES?…There is a trend that we have noticed in some mega churches in Nigeria. And that trend is this: In mega church A, the General overseer who is in his late fifties, sets a retirement age of 65 for his assistant general overseers on the grounds that age affects their efficiencies. And because none of those general overseers and the general overseer himself, has attained that age as at the time of this poser, no one knows what the trend of events will take when the first culprit of that policy takes his turn. But in mega church B, we have a different scenario. And that scenario is this: The General overseer had a few years back, (when he was less than seventy years himself) set a policy in motion that demanded the resignation of his assistant general-overseers who had attained the age of seventy on the grounds that age affects efficiency and effectiveness.
