MAY 16, 2014 UPDATE ON MARTIN’S PROGRESS Martin’s temperature is 35C. Latest blood tests showed higher leukocytes which means his anaemia is improving, but his immune system is totally suppressed . New immuno-stimulant is included in his treatment regime. Martin is eating with appetite, he poohs and pee regularly and still eliminates a lot of parasites. He is sleeping on a heated pad and is on a drip. His fur is falling due to the stress. It will recover once he pulls thru. Now that his wounds have been cleaned up, it is obvious that he had suffered burns on his head, a result of being shot from a close range. He also has a fracture of thoracic vertebra, which is a result of severe kicks - evidenced by the X-Rays . There s nothing to be done about it.If he survives, he will live with the fracture.
