The term liquid is also used in reference to the state, or condition, of matter having this property. Ex: water, acids, blood, saliva, milk, juice, olive oil, gasoline. GAS-> an airlike fluid substance which expands freely to fill any space available irrespectice of its quantity. Ex: helium, oxygen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, radon-gas.
