Principles of Conflict Management June 3, 2014 Principles of Conflict Management Tuesday, June 3, 2014 6:30 p.m. MBA office This course covers the fundamentals of Christian Conflict Management which includes the biblical process, knowing one’s own conflict management style, the various levels of conflict, and how to confront one with whom there is a difference and how to behave when one is confronted. This vital course is not just for church staff, but for any and all leaders in the church including Sunday School leaders and teachers, Men’s Ministry leaders, Women’s Ministry leaders, and Deacons. Anyone wanting to better handle conflict will benefit from learning these principles. State missionary Dale Huff will lead the conference. Dale is the Director of the Office of LeaderCare & Church Administration for the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. *This conference was originally scheduled for April 29, but was rescheduled due to inclement weather. Even if you registered before for the April 29 meeting, please register again for this June 3 meeting. Supplies Needed for New Refugees in Mobile International Ministries is working with Catholic Social Services in order to help the many refugees from all over the world resettle in Mobile. This unusual partnership has led to many refugees attending the International Language School, and many opportunities to share the Gospel with Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus and others religious backgrounds. Faith Focused Security Training Level A July 12, 2014 Faith-Focused Security Training Faith-Focused Security Training -Level A- July 12, 2014 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. First Baptist North Mobile, Saraland Level A Training Description: This is the most basic training for the missions volunteer who travels occasionally to low risk areas on mission trips. Participants will receive a full day of instruction led by Sentinel Trainers certified by Fort Sherman Academy covering topics like: travel security, code of conduct, crime survival and basic crisis policy all from a faith-based perspective. This training is highly recommended for all churches taking mission trips and required for churches who participate in State Board of Missions projects. When the participants walk away they will have in hand the structure on which to hang their vision, values, focus group, strategy, etc. COST: There is NO COST for MBA churches. Churches Planting Churches Training is designed to examine the values underlying the rationale for becoming a sending church. Then the six steps necessary to make this a reality will be taught in detail. This training is designed for a church that is seeking to learn how to start a new church or churches from the “sending” church perspective. Many people are fearful of the whole idea of planting a church because they have no idea as to how they would go about it. Information dispels anxiety.
