ME AND MRS JONES Anyone willing to admit you remember this old - TopicsExpress

ME AND MRS JONES Anyone willing to admit you remember this old song? It was very blatant about marital infidelity. (And there have been several other similar songs since then.) The lyrics said, Me and Mrs. Jones, weve got a thing going on. And then what I found of particular interest was the next line: We BOTH KNOW that it’s wrong, but its MUCH TOO STRONG to let it go now... How many people out there are in the same boat? It may or may not be the same sin, but it is something that they KNOW is wrong, yet it has a strong-hold on them. They have settled for the lie that they can never change. Some have even come from strong Christian homes, only to find themselves trapped and lost in sin. The good news I want to share is to remind you that Jesus came to “preach deliverance to the captives”. He makes it possible for every human being to know the truth that sets them free. You CAN indeed walk away. It is NOT too strong to let it go now. Have you ever tried asking a question on your computers search engine? Did you notice that after you typed the first few words, the search engine completed the question for you? That means that there is not a legitimate question that has not already been asked by somebody else in the world. Now here is the spiritual application to this: You cannot go to Jesus with a sin or a problem that He has not already heard about, and that He has not already delivered others from! If you have not been delivered from a certain vice, it is not because Jesus does not have the authority over it; it is because you have not wanted freedom bad enough. When you get tired and desperate, cry out to the deliverer of your soul. Do not let Mrs. Jones dictate your destiny. 1 Corinthians 10: 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Luke 4: 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, John 8: 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. @Back on Track Bible Studies -Rick Flores
