Heres some info about our illustrious Maestro! Now you know why we think he is so outstanding! Dana Graybeal received his Masters Degree in Music Theory and Composition. His Master’s Thesis consists of a seven movement work for choir and orchestra. He has been director of choirs and orchestra at Thunderbird High School since 1995. When hes not busy with his teaching duties, Mr. Graybeal also finds himself in recording studios as orchestrator/conductor and various other freelance gigs. He has performed as soloist or arranger at Gammage Auditorium, the Sundome, and Symphony Hall. He has received a Zonie award for Best Musical Direction in theatre. He has been a member of the Phoenix Symphony Chorus since 2005 and has performed as a soloist with the Phoenix Symphony. Although native to North Carolina, he has spent most of his life in Phoenix. He regularly donates his time to lead music at Anytown camps. Mr. Graybeal began piano at an early age and has served as accompanist for many choirs including the Southwest Regional Choir. He began his affiliation with the Phoenix College Orchestra as principal cellist in 1996.
