ME is hanging in there. She is tired and sore from yesterdays long procedure but she is trying to feel better. She got up this a.m. and walked all over the hospital. And drove the nurses crazy looking for this bike she rode in therapy the other day. They couldnt get it but I assure you we will make sure on weekends the bike is for now on left out for her use. She will be a flash of lightning flying through these hospital hallways soon. So the results of MEs testing were like I said a mixed bag. Mostly positive, the small doses of chemo she has been getting this past week has totally eradicated the cancer in her marrow. Her spinal fluid was also free of cancer cells. This is all fantastic news. The other bothersome thing we found out is that the CT scan and MRI showed a leukemia tumor has formed around her spine. We dont know when it formed or how long it has been there. This is rare but not unheard of. The best way to treat these tumors is with chemo. So the plan and hope is that the chemo has already been working on this tumor and will continue to shrink and hopeful kill this tumor. This needs to happen before we can take ME into the BMT. So the plan is to increase the chemo that we already know has been working on her cancer and to repeat the MRI scan this coming Friday to look for positive changes in the tumor. We are staying positive and resting on what we already know is positive info. that the chemo is working. Plus her pain is better and I am hoping that this is a sign that the cancer has shrunk as this might have been what was causing her pain all along. We will continue to pray and have faith and hope that God has this all under control. Amen.
