MEC says results will be announced by next week Wednesday #MalawiElection2014 #MalawiVote2014 The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has downplayed public concerns about the Commission’s delays in releasing official results of the tripartite elections, saying the results will be announced with the legal 8 days. MEC’s chairperson, Maxon Mbendera appealed to the general public for patience and understanding, saying the delay has come about as the electoral commission certifies that all results captured are verifiable and auditable to ensure credibility. “We cannot tell when this job will be done, but I can assure you that it will be done within 8 days.
