MECHANICAL FIRE ENGINEER - Doha Qatar,• Review Fire Fighting & Fire Extinguishing System Design Drawings. • Review Water based and Foam- Water based Fire Fighting Systems Design Drawings i.e. Sprinkler System, Water Spray systems, Foam-water based Water Spray systems, etc. • Review Non-water based Fire Extinguishing Systems Design Drawings i.e. NOVEC 1230 Fire Extinguishing System, etc. • Carry out Design & Drafting works for the above systems as and when required. • Inspect buildings or building designs to prepare as-built drawings for the above systems. • Address the Qatar Civil Defence Comments on the Submittals for Fire Fighting and associated systems • Prepare and update a Check list to avoid repetitive comments from the Qatar Civil Defence. • Consult with Fire & Life Safety Engineer to discuss safety regulations and to recommend changes as necessary. • Upload & Keep a track Sheet of the Submittals made to the Qatar Civil Defence. • Update the Track Sheet on daily basis on the basis on notification on the QCD website. • Chase up with the concerned personnel in order to expedite the approvals. • Notify the Fire & Life Safety Engineer about the approvals, comments etc. received from the Qatar Civil Defence. • Prepare customized Design Manual for Fire Fighting and associated systems • Update the Design Manual time-to-time to keep up with the Latest NFPA standards & Qatar Civil Defence Requirements. • Prepare CAD Symbols library and update the same time-to-time. • Evaluate NFPA Codes and Standards and Qatar Civil Defence Requirements. • Assist Fire & Life Safety Engineer to develop training materials, and conduct training sessions on fire protection. • Undergo training of REVIT in order to migrate from AutoCAD to REVIT.
