MEDIA RELEASE: Fatal Crash Brady/ 53rd Street On Monday November 24th at approximately 1:00 pm Davenport Police, Davenport Fire and Medic EMS personnel responded to a crash at Brady St and 53rd St. The preliminary investigation shows that a semi-tractor trailer was north on Brady St and a van was east on 53rd St. The semi-tractor trailer struck the passenger side of the van. One occupant from the eastbound van sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Genesis Medical Center. A second occupant from the eastbound van was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-tractor trailer did not sustain serious/life threatening injuries. The investigation is being conducted by the Davenport Police Departments Crash Investigation Unit who are still on scene. No further information is available at this time.
