MEDIA RELEASE October 4th, 2013 Charles Heidsieck Celebrates Fine Champagne Magazine’s Top 10 Rankings Champagne Charles Heidsieck will be showcasing their award winning range of wines at a series of dinners in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne next month. Presented by ambassador Ned Goodwin MW and champagne specialist and award-winning independent commentator Tyson Stelzer, guests will enjoy all five Charles Heidsieck wines, including those that recently topped the Fine Champagne magazine’s annual 100 Best Champagnes for 2013. In an unprecedented result for a single maison, Champagne Charles Heidsieck took out three of the top four rankings in Fine Champagne’s 100 Best listing published in August 2013. Charles Heidsieck Vintage 2000 was judged the top vintage wine and number one ranking over all styles. Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve was ranked the top non-vintage wine and took out the number two spot overall. The top vintage rose was awarded to Charles Heidsieck Rose Vintage 1999, in fourth place overall. These wines, along with the Rose Reserve and Blanc des Millenaires 1995 will be served across a five course especially matched degustation at Brisbane favourite Il Centro, the iconic Quay in Sydney and Melbourne’s celebrated Moon Under Water. Ned Goodwin will share insights into the wines as Tyson Stelzer comments on the world of champagne and the Charles Heidsieck range as he launches the 2014-2015 edition of his celebrated Champagne Guide – each guest will take home a copy (valued at $39.95).
