MEDIA STATEMENT ON THE INCIDENT AT KAMPUNG KUALA SUNGAI BARU DEPOT OF THE AMG LRT LINE EXTENSION PROJECT (7:00 PM UPDATE) Kuala Lumpur, 24 December 2014 – Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) wishes to inform that an incident has occurred at the Depot of the Ampang (AMG) LRT Extension Project worksite at Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru. The incident occurred at 4:20 pm when the formwork and scaffolding collapsed during the concreting of the deck slab. Prasarana also confirms that four workers sustained minor injuries and four are believed to be trapped. The injured workers were immediately given first aid treatment and are currently being treated at the nearby hospital. Rescue efforts are currently ongoing. The Emergency Response Team, as well as the Police and the Fire & Rescue Services have been mobilised and are at the site of the incident.
