MEET THE PRESS: THANK YOU to all of the people that came out to the Hilton and made the evening special. For those of you that missed it.... YOU MISSED OUT on three of the best musicians on the planet who came out and sat in with Da Boys aka The Ambassadors Of Funk. The original Funky White Boy and MTP founding member, Geri ONeil brought his old skool bass funk to the stage, while two Mississippi musical icons, Johnny Crocker and the legend Johnny Barranco brought the house down with their soulful vocals. Like I said before the show, it was Funk-o-licious baby. And.... we must have done something right, because I received a phone call this morning asking us to perform for this coming 2015-16 New Years Eve and to celebrate our 25th Anniversary along with NYE! THAT is a tribute to Da Boys: Andrew Thomas, John Alford, Johnny Hubbard, Lamond X Jamison and our great manager, Kathy Stone. Also a shout out to our lighting director who made the event wild, Jake Collier. To finish with a quote from Brother Crocker, Man, yall are better than ever and as tight as a tick!
