CLUB AUCTION (APRIL 17) She also wanted to remind the club to save the date: April 17 is our club auction. Clean out your garage and/or talk up a service, and bring your tax refund! Part of the proceeds will go toward the clubs 50th anniversary celebration in October and to purchase badges for members who have completed their CC and above. WEAR YOUR NAMETAG or BADGE Club president Leticia Chiba reminds all club members to wear our nametags or Toastmasters badges to club meetings. (Please bring any stray lanyards left at home to the club meetings.) Several months ago, her husband Yoshi printed nametags for active members. If youre a new member or missing your nametag, please contact Leticia Chiba by Monday, April 7, so she can ask her husband to create and print out additional name tags. Leticias email is [email protected]. The clubs executive committee voted to charge a nominal fee, a 25 cent penalty, for not wearing a name tag or badge. This fine will start on April 17. NORTHERN DIVISION SPEECH CONTEST (April 27) Save the date: David Begnaud and Jonathan Moody will represent Area 23 in the Northern Division Contests (International Speech and Table Topics) on Sunday, April 27, from 1 to 5pm at Watkins Manufacturing located at 1280 Park Center Drive, Vista, CA 92081. $5 admission. Contestants and functionaries are asked to arrive by 12:15pm.
