MESSAGE TO IPINLE OMOLUABI The people of Osun have spoken, and have cautioned everyone that truly loves this country of ours to allow the wish of the people to prevail. The ambition of anyone person should not be more important than the peace and stability of our country. For the people of Ipinle Omoluabi, I say: come out as you have done today on Saturday to support Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola- cast your vote. It is your constitutional right. Do not be intimidated because the whole world is watching; the whole world is standing with you. Preserve the sanctity of our democracy. To the security officers whose large presence was very visible at the rally today, I say you all have a duty to put Nigeria first and be impartial and responsive to all the people of State of Osun. I urge you all, great servicemen and women of ours, to carry out your work in a professional manner. I ask our men and women in uniform to remember that you all belong to institutions that will outlive the present times. Desist from the temptation to partake in activities that will tarnish the reputation of your respective institutions. After interacting with the powerful people of Osun today, their most pressing fear is whether or not the excessive presence of security personnel will allow them to exercise their right? I hope for the sake of our constitutional guaranteed freedoms that this fear is unfounded, and I pray that the fear of our men and women in uniform, should not be a hindrance to sustaining the foundations of our democracy.
