METEOR SHOWER TONIGHT! : ) Folks: One of the Haylleys comet meteor trails (The Orionids) - which I last stayed up for as a teenager and still have extremely fond memories of - is peaking tonight and is visible in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres. MELBOURNE: Feel free to join (& invite friends) for a Meteor Tunes Silent Disco: A couple of us are going to watch them from All Nations Park Northcote (map below) from 1am - 3am - after a nap! :) First hour will be a beautiful, deeply reverent mix (A Synergy Mix I love that @Richard put together) played through Silent Disco headphones (thanks to @Guru Dudu (im asking for a $5 donation to help cover Daves expensive equipment) - that will be fun and avoid us impacting others wholl be gathered for the same. By 1am the meteors should be high enough that we can stop the music and relax on a picnic blanket - looking up. Bring something warm - its going down to 10 degrees. Worried about sleep? Best bet is to have a 20m nap before 12 if youre tired... Anything longer than 20m and you enter a sleep cycle - which is not fun to wake from and can interrupt your rhythm. Under 20m is fine. A banana or some oats / muesli will help you get back to sleep after. : ) Details: Meet 12:45 to collect a headset.
