METEOROPOULOS UPDATE: Wednesday, 3/26/14 @ 10:59AM QUICK UPDATE: The massive storm has now passed to our east and is headed north. You guys need to know HOW CLOSE we came to being hit by this storm and the consequences of it - just a shift of about 200 miles East Southwest of its current location and NYC Metro would be a part of one of the greatest blizzards of all-time… if not THE worst! Snowfall totals would have easily been in the 24-36 inch range for pretty much everyone. You can see on the attached pic what she looks like this morning just off-shore and to our north. This is an absolutely incredible storm with pressures down below 960mb and up to 80MPH!!! As a reference, most 12 inch snowstorms are about 990mb or so. The pressures of this storm is equivalent to a strong Category 2 hurricane!!! Yeah - thats right, we almost had a Cat 2 Hurricane Blizzard. So for those of you that said this winter was so bad, just think about how much WORSE it could have been! LMAO. Stay safe and keep you posted! Pete Lymberopoulos
