MH370: Focus on southern corridor does not affect northern KUALA LUMPUR: The search for the Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370, which disappeared since March 8, is now focused on the southern corridor after satellites from several countries traced objects which might be related to the incident in the area. Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said, however, this did not affect search and rescue operations in the northern corridor although it was being carried out on a smaller scale. Our focus is still directed at the two corridors but with the latest lead and information received from France, China and Australia, certainly more of our assets will be concentrating on the southern corridor. If this can be confirmed, then we will not hesitate to bring all our assets and the assets of those countries that are helping us to the southern corridor. As long as there is no confirmation, it is not fair to the families of the passengers that we concentrate only on the southern corridor, he told the daily media conference on developments regarding the disappearance of MH370, here today.
