MIAMI HEAT PREVIEW: Coaching stuff: Already in the last 2 years - TopicsExpress

MIAMI HEAT PREVIEW: Coaching stuff: Already in the last 2 years the Miami Heat had a great coaching stuff. With Erik Spoelstra, Bob McAdoo, Ron Rothstein, Keith Askins, David Fizdale and our newest member Juwan Howard we are having a very experienced stuff. They did a good job not only the last 2 years also during this off-season. For example Coach Spo visited colleges and clubs to study other coaching styles and game plans. I´m sure that we will see a improved coach Spo next season and with Juwan Howard as an assistants coach we have a coach, which has a close relationship with all players to support them during hard times! Offense: Like i already said we will see some changes in the game plan, because i think Coach Spo will test some new set plays during the pre-season and regular season. But the main part in the offense will stay the same. The main guys up front will stay the same with James, Wade, Chalmers, Allen and Bosh. The ball will be in Lebrons hand most of the time, because he has the best view on the game and understands the game like nobody else on the court. Another very important part will be the development of Greg Oden during the pre-season and the regular season, because he could give Lebron and Wade so much space for drives into the paint and also give the shooters free looks to shoot from beyond the arc. Also Oden will give the Heat another dimension up front, because he is a big guy, which can challenge players like Howard and Hibbert. He will give us another scoring option in the paint! We have to wait how Beasley will get involved in the offensive plays of the Heat. He can be a good backup player for Bosh and give him enough rest during the regular season. Another aspect is the free throw shooting. I think players like Lebron and Wade will have worked on their free throw shooting during the off-season. It´s important for close games that we have many reliable free throw shooters to close the games strong. But the part, which will guarantee us will be the offensive plays of Dwyane Wade! He is the second scoring option, after Lebron James and worked during this summer with his old coach Tim Grover. It´s very important that we will stay healthy this season and will be stronger in the playoffs. Defense: We will see a much stronger rebounding team this season. With the signings of Beasley and Oden the Heat signed good rebounding players, which will make our defense much better this season. We saw last year that teams like the pacers or bulls only can beat us with offensive rebounding. So we have to work more for the defensive rebound, which we made with good signings during the off-season. Also this signings will resolve one of the other problems we had last season: 3-POINT LINE DEFENSE! Many of us will have seen that our defense was destroyed by the opponents with only one screen set, when we played a wide defense! But with a big man like Greg Oden we can resolve this problem! I think we don´t have to say something about the defense of Lebron, Bosh or Wade. They all did great last season and will also do this season! Bench: The Bench did a great job already last year, but with Mike Miller leaving Miami this year we lost a good player. We wish him all the best from here again! But we will have a deeper bench than last year. With Allen, Cole, Birdman, Oden, Battier, Beasley, Lewis and Anthony we have a experienced bench, which will step up this season, believe me! MY PREDICTION: East Champ: Miami Heat West Champ: Oklahoma City/Clippers NBA Champs: MIAMI HEAT! IF YOU WANT ALSO PREVIEWS FROM OTHER TEAMS COMMENT IT DOWN! - HBD-3
