MID-TERM ELECTIONS 2014: HIS VIEW, OUR VOTE Let us be reminded, and let us remind others, to participate in the upcoming Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. There are numerous candidates and parties listed on the ballots, and not one of them will be officially listed as the KINGDOM CANDIDATE. Therefore, discernment and discretion are needed as we apply one of God’s great gifts in a “free” society, the right to vote. Through review of the Candidates’ positions on the issues, both past and present, and prayerful reflection on how well their positions align with God’s Will (which is His Word), we must cast our ballots accordingly. Nationalism, political party, ethnicity, gender, economic philosophy: these are all valid areas of considerations in this process. However, disciples of Jesus Christ have a sacred responsibility that comes before ALL of these: it is the exercise of God’s Mandate in Genesis 1:26+. Our God-given assignment to promote God’s Purpose on the earth is Transcendent and Preeminent. Therefore, if there is not a KINGDOM CANDIDATE, we are duty-bound to identify and support the KING’S AGENDA within whomever it is found. Let us pray for God’s Wisdom for Man’s Systems, and then exercise it in Divine Grace and Power. “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34 “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” Isaiah 8:20 #WeStillNeedGOD
