MIGHTY AND ZAMTEL ARE GREEN GIANTS Mighty Mufulira Wanderers supporters have been taking over social media about the special relationship that can be formed by their club and Zambia Telecommunications Giant Zamtel. We both represent the vibrant and live color of Green, and one can realise that a relationship between the two giants can be formed. Said one club fan. Another club fan indicated Zamtel is all about promoting thier brand to become big, while we are a big brand pushing for promotion, we enjoy Zamtels great services on International calls while Zambians have enjoyed the services of countless Mighty international call ups, what better partnership between the two? Fans of the club have declared they will be more than willing to support Zamtel if they can support the team. In Malawi telecommunications giants TNM sponsored a program to connect clubs with fans last year, over 600,000 smss were sent with the moneys being divided between the clubs. The promotion created a win, win situation as cash strapped clubs earned money while TNM also grew due to the exposure. Another Mighty fan indicated We want to encourage our executive to approach Zamtel, now is the time for change and we will support any initiative connected with the club. Mighty have been going through a hard time since Mopani stopped funding the club but they recently took part in a successful friendly in Lusaka against City of Lusaka that attracted 6,000 fans to the stadium. The call from fans is a sign of good things to come as mighty is a huge brand on paper. Mighty are definitely turning a new page in Zambian football and anyone associated with them will help write the new chapter of Zambian football.
