Question: May the prayers and peace of Allah be upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis May the peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you. There was a lot of talk recently about the movie that offended Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah pbuhap. What is the verdict of watching such movies in which an actor plays the role of a prophet of an imam, whether these movies show their role in guiding others or whether they are offensive toward them pbut? Answer: In the name of Allah, the Abundantly Merciful, the Intensely Merciful. And praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And may the prayers and peace of Allah be upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis Concerning the embodiment of the infallibles, if it does not belittle them or lie about them, then it is permissible, especially if the movie shows their fine acts and sayings and drives people to believe in them. As for the movies about them that are offensive, it is best not to watch them unless it is necessary, such as to respond to them or take a stand based upon their content. Ahmad al-Hassan 1433 Hijri.
