DRESSING CHILD/REN FOR APPROPRIATE ACTIVITY. WASHING AND IRONING CHILD/REN’S CLOTH PLANNING MEALS FOR CHILD/REN. SUPERVISING CHILD/REN MEAL. SHOPPING FOR CHILD/REN NEEDS SCHEDULING AND COORDINATING CHILDREN ACTIVITIES. TRANSPORTING CHILD/REN TO SCHOOL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKING APPROPRIATE CREATIVE ACTIVITIES WITH THE CHILD/REN. Remuneration This salary is: 1000 GBP per month *before/after deduction of Tax and National Insurance payable on : Friday monthly. The employer will be responsible for accounting for the employer’s and employee’s National Insurance Contribution and Income Tax immediately employee commence work in employer’s household. The Employer will ensure that the employee is given a pay slip on the day of payment detailing gross payment, deductions and net payment. The salary will be reviewed *once/twice per year on: 10 th of January Length of probationary period: One Month Normal hours of work will be from: 07:45 am to 08:00 pm daily. It is intended you will however, have 1 free day per week and/or 4 free weekends per month and from .08:00 am/Sunday. (time/day) to 08:00 pm/Sunday (Time/day). These arrangements can only be changed by mutual consent. Notes for information Occasional overnight care- prior arrangement-may be needed, for which extra payment will be made. (Usually paid at the rate of baby-sitting fee, from the end of normal working day up to midnight). You must agree a maximum number of hours to be worked per week. Baby-sitting requirements should be stipulated in the contract with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice required, unless in an emergency. Baby-sitting twice a week would be considered reasonable, anything extra, such as Sundays and the occasional overnight duty if required should attract additional reward. HOLIDAYS You will be allowed 30 days paid holiday per year. In the first or final year of service the employee will be entitled to holidays on a pro rata basis. Notes for information Nannies should be awarded at least 20 days annual holiday plus Bank Holidays. Holidays taken with the family are not to be considered as part of your nannies annual leave. Any statutory bank holidays worked should be paid at double time or double time off in lieu. Your nanny should be paid in your absence, for example, if you go away on holiday and do not wish her to join you, she remains in your employ. Also if you are going away for some time, your nanny should be paid a retainer. Paid compensation is not normally given for holidays not actually taken. Holidays may only be carried into the next year with the express permission of the employer. Child/Children’s age Male 6 years old The employee shall be entitled to: a. Accommodation: Private room with single bed b. Bathroom *sole use/shared: Room is ensuite with bathroom so it will be sole use c. Meals (Please specify): What meals the ever employee desire/ Three square meals daily d. Use of car *on duty/off duty: Use of car will be on duty Petrol costs will be reimbursed at a rate recommended by the AA if the employee uses his/her own car. SICKNESS The employer will administer the Government SSP scheme in accordance with legislation. After 8 weeks of employment, the employer will pay the employee full pay for a period of four weeks, then £81.60 pay for four weeks. After that period SSP only will be due. TERMINATION In the first 4 weeks of employment, one week notice is required on either side. After 4 weeks continuous service, either the employee or employer may terminate this contract by giving 4 weeks notice. CONFIDENTUALITY It is a condition of employment that now and at all times in the future, save as may be lawfully required, the employee shall keep the affairs and concerns of the house holder and it’s transactions and business confidential. PENSIONS The employer does not run a pension scheme. DISCIPLINE Reasons which might give rise to the need for disciplinary measures include the following: a. Causing a disruptive influence in the household b. Job incompetence c. Unsatisfactory standard of dress or appearance d. Conduct outside working hours prejudicial to the interest or reputation to the employer e. Unreliability in time keeping or attendance f. Failure to comply with instructions and procedures, for example being unable to drive due to driving ban g. Breach of confidentiality clause In the event of the need to take disciplinary action, the procedure will be: Firstly - Oral warning Secondly - Written warning Thirdly - Dismissal Reasoned for summary dismissal include the following a. Child Abuse b. Drunkenness c. Illegal drug taking d. Theft GRIEVANCES If the Nanny has any reasonable grievance relating to her employment the matter should be raised with the Employer either in person or in writing as the Nanny deems Appropriate. The Employer and the Nanny agree to take all such reasonable steps as are necessary to resolve such grievances. GENERAL This contract shall be constructed in accordance with and governed by the laws of England and Wales/Scotland/Northern Ireland and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales/Scotland/Northern Ireland. Any reference in this contract to any statutory provision shall be deemed to include a reference to any statutory modification or re-enactment of it and shall also include reference to all statutory instruments and orders made pursuant to any such statutory provision. Words in the singular shall include the plural and vice versa, and references to any gender shall include the other and a reference to a person shall include a reference to any Company as well as any legal or natural person.
