MIGRATION UPDATE This really has been a fantastic year in terms of river crossings — they are still happening every day, as the smaller herds continue to catch up with the mega-herd, which is grazing the Mara Triangle. Our two semi-permanent andBeyond Serengeti Under Canvas camps are based at Kogatende, right near the action giving guests bucket-list sightings. Across the border in Kenya, guests at andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp and Bateleur Camp are also witnessing the nail-biting excitement at the different crossing points. The drama will continue as the herds start moving south again in November. andBeyond Serengeti Under Canvas ranger, Godson Nyiti, saw a leopard kill with his guests, which was a ten-year-long dream of theirs to see. They watched a female leopard up on a rock, scanning the horizon, when she suddenly spotted an oribi 100 m away, and gave chase. Never a dull moment in the Serengeti/Mara!
