Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing. ► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Do not EXAGGERATE in PRAISING me as the Christians praised the son of Mary, for I am only a Slave. So, call me the Slave of Allah and His Apostle. (SAHIH BUKHARI Vol #4, Hadith #3445) 1) FASTING ON MONDAY Narrated: Abu Qatada Ansari (Ra) Prophet Muhammad (saws) was asked about FASTING on MONDAY, whereupon he (saws) said: It is (the day) when I was BORN and revelation (Quran) was sent down to me. (SAHIH MUSLIM Vol #3, Hadith #2750) (SUNAN ABU DAWUD Vol #3, Hadith #2426) 2) LYING ON BEHALF OF PROPHET (saws) ► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Do not tell a LIE against me for whoever tells a lie against me then he will surely enter the HELL-FIRE. As long as you hold to them, you will not go the wrong way. They are the Book of Allah (QURAN) and the SUNNAH of His Prophet (saws). (MUWATTA MALIK Book #46, Hadith #1628) ► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Indeed, whomever among you lives, he will see much difference. Beware of the newly invented matters, for indeed they are astray. Whoever among you sees that, then he must stick to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Khulafa (companions). And whoever introduces an innovation (Bidah) that is acted upon, will have a burden of sins equivalent to that of those who act upon it, without that detracting from the burden of those who act upon it in the slightest. (SUNAN IBN MAJAH Vol #1, Hadith #209) 4) INNOVATION IN ISLAM – BIDAH ► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: If somebody INNOVATES something which is not present in our RELIGION, that thing is REJECTED. (SAHIH BUKHARI Vol #3, Hadith #2697) (SAHIH MUSLIM Vol #4, Hadith #4492-4493) (SUNAN IBN MAJAH Vol #1, Hadith #14) (SUNAN ABU DAWUD Vol #5, Hadith #4606) ► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: The truest of word is the Book of Allah and best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (saws). The worst of things are those that are newly invented; every newly-invented thing is an innovation and every innovation is going astray, and every going astray is in the Fire. (SUNAN NASAI Vol #2, Hadith #1579) (SAHIH MUSLIM Vol #2, Hadith #2005) (SUNAN IBN MAJAH Vol #1, Hadith #42-47) (SUNAN ABU DAWUD Vol #5, Hadith #4607) ► Narrated: Abdullah Bin Masud Prophet Muhammad (saws) said: Among those in charge of you, after I am gone, 1) Will be men who extinguish the Sunnah and follow innovation. 2) They will delay the prayer from its proper time.” I said: “O Messenger of Allah, if I live to see them, what should I do?” He said: “You ask me, O Ibn ‘Abdullah, what you should do? There is no obedience to one who disobeys Allah.” (SUNAN IBN MAJAH Vol #4, Hadith #2865) ► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: I am your predecessor at Al-Hauh (Al- Kauthar), and some of you will be brought in front of me till I will see them and then they will be taken away from me and I will say, O Lord, my companions! It will be said, You do not know what they innovated (new things) in the religion after you left.
