Every time horrible terrorist attacks occur, some (but not all) Muslim leaders have denounced radical violence committed under the guise of their faith. I see a few people on here denouncing the many Muslims who keep pretty quiet about these horrible incidents. I understand that perspective but... This occurred to me: Maybe some Muslims are afraid to publicly speak out for fear of repercussions by violent radicals who might target them as no better than infidels for denouncing their acts. After all, ISIS are not killing Jews and Christians. They are killing other Muslims. Just as many non Muslims dont want to publish the cartoons of Mohammad so they wont be a target, perhaps many moderate Muslims are afraid of the Islamists-Jihadists and what they might do to them if they publicly denounce them. Many good Germans hated the Nazis but also feared them. There is a lot of fear around. Anyone who saw that french police officer killed live in TV today can see why. Lets pray for the safety and peace of the good people of the world of all faiths and also for the agnostics and atheists among us who are also beautiful people. The evil these few do will never destroy our world if we stay united. PS Im a Christian and find depictions of Jesus in art beautiful in some paintings and downright hilarious in others like Monty Python and South Park. I wish Islam would respect freedom of expression like other religions do.
