MINDSETS: Talking with a "friend"(pro dancer) who I thought would have grown out of a dancers freakin mindset...but not. He said: "I could never love a girl that is not a very good dancer". There is something I dispise that happens mostly in many art scenes, and is specially evident in tango: People judge themselves, others, and life according to their talents. In those scenes Identity is then on what you do, and not on you as a human being. GET IT? human BEING, not human DOING... Congrats if your art is splendid ! If you excel at what you do! Yeiiii clap, clap, clap... Bet the stars in heaven are wondering why such a person would boast for that... Measuring and appreciating someone for WHAT they do, how MUCH they earn, or HOW they performe is the most poverish mindset ever. We are all Dimonds in the rough ! and our identity must be rooted in the fact we´re all unique human beings with a unique combination of gifts and talents. So what if you are not under a spotlight ? Who said you dont shine? After all the only thing worth living for is the love FROM and FOR people. And when I say FROM I dont mean adoration, but well balanced appreciation of who you are. And when I say FOR I dont mean that needy, life sucking, dependance on others, but the revelation and recognition of how valuable a soul is. DETOX your mind ! I know I had to...still am. Tough job, but great reward ! Have a wonderful Sunday! Abrazo, Fernanda
