MINIMAL SNOW AND ICE WITH NEXT STORM BEFORE WARM AIR - TopicsExpress

MINIMAL SNOW AND ICE WITH NEXT STORM BEFORE WARM AIR CHANGES IT ALL TO RAIN please share with your friends Cold air that is around today and Friday will not be able to sustain itself into the weekend so when precipitation arrives later in the day Saturday and Saturday night it will be rain near the coast. Inland areas well north and west could see it start off as snow for an hour or two at most before going to rain. Snow accumulations will be minor as the maps indicate for Southeastern NY Interior Coastal Connecticut and Northeast New Jersey. With regards to icing in the transition I dont see this being a huge problem Saturday night as warm is just too overpowering with a storm heading so far west. The forecast surface map is for midnight Saturday night and you can see just how far north the ice/rain line gets into New York State and interior New England. When this is all said and done the rain snow line will probably find its way all the way to northern Maine! Sunday will see temps in the 40s and even the 50s from NYC southward but cold air will sweep and Sunday night and usher in a week of cold temperatures and then on Wednesday brutally cold air arrives to finish the week.
