#MISSIONMONDAY Mission #6 Target: Industry at Lille, France Zone 1, inbound over England - Lady GASM II forms up with the rest of the squadron, in the dangerous lead position. There are now enough B-17s in the theatre that multiple squadrons are being sent on missions. LG2s squadron is in low position, the safest. Zone 2, inbound over the English Channel - No fighters. Zone 3, inbound over Target - An Me-109 approaches from head-on, with 3 Fw-190s trailing behind it. The over-anxious Messerschmitt pilot is met by the blazing fire of Top Turret Gunner Clint Dumaine and explodes in a fiery display. Its the second kill for the Flight Engineer from Arkansas! Bomb Run - Good Weather. Medium Flak barrages miss LG2 Bombs Off-Target, 0% within 1,000 feet of aiming point. Zone 3, homebound over Target - A swarm of 190s engage the Forts as they clear the flak area. All gunners respond, but the only one to score a kill is Deadeye Dumaine yet again 8-) Cannon fire strikes the -17s wing root, but not enough to weaken the structure seriously. Zone 2, homebound over the English Channel - No fighters. Zone 1, homebound over England - Good Weather. LG2 takes her position in the landing pattern. Landing - Safe! RESULT: Draw
